Life
United States Marine Corps 1966-1970 Viet Nam veteran 1st Marine Airwing Chu Lai 1969-1970. 1967-1969 VMFA-451 Warlords aviation ordnance MCAS Beaufort, South Carolina. I played guard on the 1967 VMFA-451 football team. Married to Dianne Patterson Barker class of 1965. 1 daughter and 3 stepsons. 4 grandchildern US Postal Service employee 1965-1980 Graduated Pensacola Junior College 1983 with an ASN Degree Registered Nursing. ghter, Jennifer, is married to a career Navy Lt. He is an air traffic controller and has 21 years of service. They are currently living in Springfield, Va., because Lance is the Navy's air space security rep. at the FAA headquarters. In July They will be back in Jacksonville, Fl. Now that I'm retired I can catch a plane and see them whenever I want.
Dianne, also a '65' alum has been retired since Oct. 1, 2009. She watches her 30 month old grandson 4 to 5 days a week. She also is a retired registered nurse. We like to vacation in Gulf Shores, Al and will be going there in April.
