Larry's Story
I've grown up a lot since 1989, lived in three more states, gotten married, had six children-- all boys. Not so much more a people person than I was back than, but then you have to reach out a bit to get married in the first place which I did in late 1993. A whirlwind engagement and marriage; we were engaged in three weeks and married in a little over three months. Some people just get lucky, and we've been happily married since then. We now live in Indiana and really appreciate the difference in weather, the cool, windy summers with frequent rains and the sharply chill winters, dipping down near zero on the coldest days, snowfalls turning the world white and sta...Expand for more
rk, clean. We're fortunate not to have heavy snowfalls like New York for example, mostly a few inches a time with a couple approaching six inches. It's so grassy and forested here; the change from winter to spring is almost shocking as the barren trees suddenly take on a green explosion of color, leaves and blossoms blooming. We grow many things impossible or difficult in AZ: peaches, apples, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and so much more. It's so nice not having the constant need for water to keep it all alive. In the late summer the fire-flies come blinking or fading slowly in and out, willow-wisps in the cooling evening onto night.
