Larry's Story
At this point I will say that I am single and am very private. I started as a high school English teacher, became a commercial electrician and for the past 19 years was an electronic technician at MARTA. I retired this past November 2007.
I spend a great deal of time in front of a computer not working but just making them look more pleasing to the eye. I consider my computers more of a hobby than anything else. I also have written poetry over the past 30 years and am now in the process of going over and editing those that I consider worth the time. That equals about 10%. The rest will just get filed away in the bottom drawer. Actually I should have said under the bottom drawer.
Last December I traveled to Mexico with a SOAR, a mission team and do plan to return again this Christmas. The experience created so many lasting memories and I expect more of the same his year.

call me pop and some call me Larry pop and my wife calls me for dinner.
As for the poetry, the poems have been submitted to Author House for publishing. A close friend of mine is in the process of submitting art work for the book. When the artwork is submitted then we move to the next phase.
For me, this is a dream that will become a reality. Dr. Walter D. Jones from La Grange College was a close friend and a major source of encouraement for me..
Finally I can say that my first book of poetry has been published and I was pleased with the service that Author House provided. Someday...A dream fullfilled is the title . I know six copies have been sold because my sister told me sho purchased them. :) :) :)
Someday is the poem that got the book project started. After I met my wife in Dec. of 2008 I wrote the poem Someday. This poem was the first one that required no rewrites or corrections. It took life on its on and my wife was the inspiration. Many of the other poems were influenced by my late wife. She passed in 2007. Her influence was subtle yet profound.
