Larry's Story
After graduating in 1967 I joined the Navy and Doreen went to U of Evansville. On June 8, 1968 Doreen and I married and moved to my first Navy assignment in Milton Florida.
On July 29, 1969 our daughter Julie was born in Milton and a month later we were assigned to NAS North Island where I was to be assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge in Vietnam. Fortunately, the carrier was to be de-commissioned and as a result we stayed in the San Diego area. Julie now has three sons.
Our second daughter, Deanna was born in San Diego in June 1971 and now has two sons
I was honorably discharged in August 1971 and began college. In 1973 while working on my business degree, I was hired to work as an accountant in Evansville at Windsor Plastics.
I graduated from the University of Evansville in 1975 and worked my way up in the plastics business to a CFO position until 1993.
After a few other positions in various industries, I started Falcon Industries, Inc. Falcon is currently engaged in Chemical Br...Expand for more
okering and I work out of my home now. It is great to have your own business and be your own boss. The "boss" gives me lots of time off to play golf.
Doreen had a great career as a decorative artist until 2007 when she decided to re-enter the Medical Technology field again. She was recently promoted to Head Technologist for a major doctor's office in Louisville, KY.
As you see, we have 5 grandsons (a full basketball team) and thoroughly enjoy them as often as possible.
We have two Boxers, named Mohammed and Laila (GET IT?). Good Dogs!
We both enjoy golf and time together. We will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary this year.
We have visited several cities in Europe, Canada, Mexico and South America, but are decidely biased for USA! No place like America, believe me!
We stay in touch with a few high school pals, but would like to hear from others. Send us your brief history as it is always interesting to hear what you have been doing all these years!
Best Regards to all our friends!
