Larry's Story

I graduated a year early. I was suppose to graduate with the class of 81. It's hard to believe I graduated 44 years ago. Finally fully retired!!!! 20 year Retired Military (Active and Reserve) 30+ year retired Detective/Police Officer (Lyon County SO, Elko PD, and Criminal Investigator for the federal government) Lived on my boat in San Pedro CA for 7 years. Realized I was more fascinated with the idea of living on a boat than actually living on a boat. I owned and operated a small cow/calf operation in Elko. Raised and sold home grown angus beef. ays have loved the western way of life. We had to move to central Minnesota for a couple of years to take care of my elderly mother. I was never so happy when my mom suggested we all move back to NV. MN doesnt have the mountains or the desert to escape to. As a side note, the very next day after moving into our home in MN (2022), a tornado came through our town and destroyed homes and businesses. Our house was spared...thank you Lord! Living in Fallon with my beautiful wife and looking forward to again run a small herd of beef. Four grandchildren.
