Workplace
I've been a "fire fighter" for employers...taken problem projects and completed them successfully at above rate compensation...then moved to the next job....except when I was Supervisor of Architects for The University of Texas, Austin Architectural and Engineering Services section of the Physical Plant Department (5+ years). Relocated three times for spouse's career...she divorced me ten years ago... live and learn and try not to make the same mistakes two or more times. I love working in Autocad, especially in three dimensional mode and get great satisfaction out of designing and creating quality documents from which contractors can build projects that help improve the quality of peoples' living environments. I can't imagine doing anything else...except perhaps being a full time artist as I love to paint and sculpt (and have sold almost everything I have done). I also play native american flutes and have a CD "Heart Songs - New Beginnings" which is available through Barnes and Noble book stores...you have...Expand for more
to request order it. I'd like to do another CD.
SO much for that...it's a book if I continue...
Military
I was given an honorable medical discharge and was offered 45% disability...which I refused...my ankles were messed up playing basketball in HS, not while on duty, although they got pretty bad on duty...especially during boot camp...ankles hurt so bad and got so swollen my feet turned black and blue. I scored 93% first pass and 96% second pass firing an M-60 at aerial gunnery school...just like shooting rabbits with a 22 from the back of Charlie Gaines' jeep racing around on the ranches! I loved the "predictability" of military life...and the life long friends/remembered even if not kept in touch with on a regular basis. To all you vets out there..."Welcome Home" and I'm glad you survived to remember and honor those who did not come home or came home in a bag...or, like Robert Meadows, USMC, took years to die way too early and young from cancer caused by agent orange.
Larry Dot Mast can be found at gee male dot communications, and living just north of Lillian, TX west of Mansfield, TX. Greetings to all Bulldogs and Rebels.
