Larry's Story
In high school, the few things that I remember were, I was the only crazy kid that wore purple bell bottoms and that I loved it when we went to the cove bowl lanes. I couldnt bowl worth a heck, but it was fun. After high school, I went into the marine corp. I wont talk much about that. Then I went into the short order cook businesses (burger king, taco bell, that sort of stuff). I couldn't hold my job to well, so I went into the security buisiness. This I did well in for many years, 'till I got bored. I went into the transportation buisiness, from taxi cab driver to charter bus. No money there. Back to security. Then I met my wife (Hazel). k on navy ships. That was fun. Seeing the world and getting paid for it. Then 911 came. I was at home in wilmington on leave. We now became the supply ships prior to desert shield. We had one of those dingys that sunk the Cole, come toward my ship. It was shot at 300 ft away, and the guy turned. My wife didn't like hearing that and begged me to quit. I didn't, untill she got sick. Then that was all she wrote as far as working on navy ships. All the money I made went into fixing her. Doctors couldn't do much anymore. So put her in a nursing home as money was gone. She passed on two years back. I lived in the streets 'til I found a job back in security. And thats where Im in at now.
