Larry's Story
Life: I didn't join - I was drafted!
At Ft. ORD, Nov. 1953, I was in The 1st Inf. Regt. - company L - 5th platoon and was 4th squad leader.
Went on to the 7th Army in Mainz Germany in '55 and took discharge at Ft Dix in April 1957. Made it to E5 - life was not too bad when you had some stripes. Between 53 and discharge in 57 - went Corporal Missile Scool at Ft.Bliss in El Paso, Tx.

scharge went back to school and earned a BS degree - went to work for IBM in San Jose and Tucson. Retired in '92.
I mostly enjoy 30's, 40's, 50's and some 60's music. Wish I coulda been a radio DJ.
A great joy of my past life was auto racing. Even drove 'em for a while - midgets and some sprint cars. I remain totally loyal to any open wheel and dirt racing! "Real race cars have no doors."
