I did the basic college thing as soon as I graduated from Warren, as I knew I wouldn't go back to school if I took any time off. I bounced from CSULB to CSUF because, basically, I had no imagination and wasn't looking to move out and pay my own way. My days at CSULB were one big party, so I transferred to Fullerton to get out of the social scene and actually study. Miraculously, I made it out in 4 1/2 years and took a job in corporate advertising with The Home Depot. Those were good times (low pay, but hilariously fun people to work with)! Lived in Placentia for a while, then moved back to Downey (don't ask why). Met my husband in 1994 by way of an arranged blind date.
