Laura's Story
My story huh? I will make a long story short by giving you the highlights and low lights of my life, just know while reading it, that I am happy with my life and I wouldn't change a thing in my life if it meant not having my kids or my best friends.
After graduation I met and married Mike Weitl. (Some of you may remember him from the 5 year reunion, he wasn't a nice person to ya'll). He was killed in a car accident when I was 7 months pregnant with my daugher (that was in 1985). I went to floral school and was a florist for almost 25 years (either in a shop or having my own in home business).
I met my second husband when my daughter (Sara) was 14 months old. We married, I got a job at an insurance company (BOOOOOOORING). He was a San Diego cop and then we moved to Troutdale Oregon the day after our 10 year reunion (Jenny Foster (Robbins) and John Foster moved up with us and settled about 45 minutes away in Beaverton) My husband went to work at Gresham Police Department. In 1990 I gave birth to Timothy (and boy was he a surpirse!) By 1998 the marriage was over and the di...Expand for more
vorce was final 1/99 (he just had too many badge bunnies and internet romances for me to take). He remarried 4/99, and died of a heart attack a week after his 40th birthday 9/99.
So, off to college I went in 2000. I graduated with 2 Associates of Applied Science (legal assistant and administrative office) and 3 certificates. I have been a legal secretary in downtown Portland for the past 6 years.
So...........I dated on and off, and last May (2007) I married a long time friend (total redneck and 9 years younger than me!).
We live in Sandy, Oregon (30 minutes for Mt. Hood) on 2 1/2 acres, I have three dogs (Odis the mastiff, Toby the Beagle, and Molli the black lab), my fish are Steven, Stephen, Benny and June.
Both my husband and I are avid Steeler fans, we go to SCA events and love to spend time at home with my kids and the puppies.
HEY WAKE UP! Its not that boring!!! I come down to visit my mom (who still lives in the same house on Westhill Road) once a year (or more). I never see anyone I know when I am down, or maybe I just don't recognize the older version of you!
