Laura's Story
School
I went to South High School. I was madly in love with Kenny Maupin. I loved Mr. Johnston's choir class and used to cut just to go to both jr. choir and sr. choir. If I had to do it all over again, I'd probably change nothing. I messed around and didn't learn much, but I had a lot of fun. I had to make up for the not learning much part later in college and that made it harder, but I still wouldn't change it. I loved football games, wrestling, and being in marching band. Eric Stewart (Sweet Stew) was my best friend. I still love him! My girlfriends were Pam Leonard and Pam Bryant.
I started clubbing in high school and went to East Dallas and the gay bars (Eagles and The Garage). That was a lot of fun. Later I worked as a cocktail waitress and got fired for dancing in the cage too much!

ke road trips to the beach to go see this band- Moment of Silence- we were regular groupies. We danced non-stop, all night long. When we were in Richmond, we hung out at Kahoots and The Bus Stop. My sister and I lived together. We were the only ones not living in a dorm or with twelve people in an apartment, so people came over all the time to eat and watch movies on the vcr.
Workplace
My favorite job was working as a truck driver for FedEx when I was in college. That was really fun. I loved my boss (hi, Fred!), my co-workers, and the work itself. I worked in Richmond, Boston, and Norfolk with FedEx. FedEx has good travel deals because they are an airline, so that's when I started seeing the country and the world.
I met a lot of cool people along the way and have had a lot of great times. If you were one of the ones that touched my life, thank-you. I haven't forgotten.
