Laura's Story

Life Come see me at LauraNthezoo dot typepad dot com! After high school I went to UNLV, then Northern AZ University. I met my husband there and we've been married since 1990. We lived in AZ until 1997, and now live back in Las Vegas. We have 2 girls and a boy, and I went back to work in the fall of 2005 as a Speech Pathologist for the school district - after staying at home with my babies for 7 years. I am an active member of my church, and a part of my community as an advocate on behalf of children with special needs. Life is never boring, that's for sure! School When I think back at high school I remember fun times, but then I get a little sad. At 16 or 17 you take life WAY too seriously and it makes the small stuff seem so big. erson now - well, hopefully we ALL are. College I definitely went to college only to get a degree - well, and to party a little. I had really great experiences in my *cough* 5 years at Northern AZ University. I even met my husband - so it was all worth it. In 2003 I went back to school to become a Speech Pathologist. My son is deaf, so I feel I've been called to help children just like him. Workplace I've done it all - from retail management to administrative assistant for doctors - which has nothing to do with my college degree LOL Now I have the most rewarding job - as a full-time mom and deaf child advocate. As of 2005 I have been a Speech Pathologist for the school district helping children just like my son. Military I have never served, but thank God for those of you who do!!!!!!!!
