Laura's Story
Life
Well, a lot has happened with me since high school. I moved to Tucson Arizona and attended U of A. I then moved to Hawai'i and graduated from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa with a BBA in International Business and Marketing. I then moved to South Carolina for a few years before moving back to Arizona. I am now living in Scottsdale (Phoenix) working for an international market research company. I am also attending Thunderbird University obtaining my Global MBA.
School
High school was crazy. I was very busy with about a million different activities. DECA is where I discovered what I love and am meant to do. Drill team and theatre were my main creative outlets. At one time, right after graduation, I even had three jobs, but that didn't last long.
College
I started out at the University of Arizona and lived in Corona...Expand for more
do dorm. Then, I moved to Hawaii and began attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa. It was a wonderful experience. I am now attending Thunderbird gaining great global experience while earning a global masters of business.
Workplace
After my undergrad college graduation I moved to South Carolina. I had trouble finding jobs in this area, so I started working at Sears for the Holidays. I very quickly realized that there were very few jobs in SC and decided to take a management position at Sears and at least gain some experience managing. Then, I moved to Arizona about 2 years later in pursuit of better career opportunities. I worked at FMR Associates, Inc., an international market and media research firm in Tucson for a couple of years. I am now working for an international market research firm in Scottsdale called Synovate.
