Laura's Story

03/15/2008 Hi everyone! My sixth is a beautiful boy!! He is a wonderful addition to the family and adored by many. I named him Avery and he is almost 4 months young. I hope to get some pictures posted, time permitting. Work is going great and I still have no desire to be married. It seems that if you make that mistake once you are apt to not want to do it again. I enjoy my time alone with the kids, they are fun (and challenging.) I like living in my small yet quickly expanding town. When I drive to Rancho Cordova now I am nervous. I went to Sunrise Mall before Christmas and swore there were more people in the mall than in my hometown. A lot more cultures as well. You could probably learn seven different languages if you frequented there! I have to attend to something so will catch you up later...... Laura Life 5/14/2007 Hello to all. I never did move out of town because my job finally paid off. At the end of November I became a supervisor of my department. I traded in four of my jobs for this opportunity and I am finally happy with what I do. I miss my baby, hardly a day goes by that I don't think about her. Her name was Saige. I honor what short time she lived within me by bettering myself. I urge anyone to do the same. I do have another baby due this year, but just like the chickens, I won't count this person until he or she survives the pregnancy. I feel I have earned a senior discount from all I have been subjected to. I am still quick-witted and the only time I cry is at the end of some movies. However the responsibilities of life are often cumbersome. I have a lot of free time now. Too much time to reflect and not enough time for fun. Something has to give. All in good time.... Is it nap time yet?? Take care 9/19/06 This life has been quite a difficult experience for me. My fifth baby was born August 7 on the due date but thanks to a problem with the umbilical cord I had a breech delivery. The baby died two days prior to delivery. The father is taking it harder than I am. I still have my humor and am able to use that to cope. The father is heartbroken. I am aiming to move north after the snow. There's nothing left here for me except heartache and misery so I thought I would share it with another town. No, I just need to get away from the same-o. I am tired of working around the clock and wo...Expand for more
uld love to have some of that "free time" others speak of. That's all I have to report for now. Take care. 2/22/06 I live to work; I work to live. I literally have five jobs, one full-time, four part-time. Only three of them land on the same day so I am still able to get my much needed 4.5 hours sleep. I did attend college but I guess it didn't get me as far as I had hoped. Oh well, where is $8000 worth of knowledge supposed to get you anyway? I am expecting my fifth-born child this summer. We are hoping for a boy, but we are happy with whichever God decides to bless us with. I have a 12-year-old boy, a 9-year-old boy, a 7-year-old daughter, and a 10-month-old daughter. The last girl was with my current boyfriend. I suppose you are curious about my current boyfriend since I mentioned him. He's 6'4" tall, thirteen years my senior, and is one of the kindest, most generous souls I have met. This is not to mention he's the first one that hasn't been abusive. He wants to get married, but I am hesitant over a few issues we have. No relationship is perfect but I want it to be as close to perfect as possible before jumping in with both feet. I don't know what God has in store for us, but life will go on with or without him. My family and I became mortal enemies so having no contact with them doesn't bother me in the least. My mother was the cause of most of my problems growing up. She disowned me when I was seven because she was ashamed of me for being molested. I was punished and ridiculed for showing emotions and spent most of my childhood locked up in my room. I obvously have to be very cautious to not transfer the negativity to my own children as abuse tends to continue through generations. As long as I am aware of the problem I feel I am ahead of the game. There's nothing exciting to report as I slowly dwindle down each day of my life. I am not happy, not sad, just content. I have grown to be very stubborn and also a prankster to keep others going when they are down. My nickname in the office is, "The Brat." I work hard at keeping my reputation and others enjoy my sense of humor. It helps. Try it. Spread the cheer, smile at someone, stop and chat with a stranger, lend a hand, give someone a hug. If I can get a smile or a warm thank you out of someone, I know my day has been fulfilled. Until next time... : o )
