Laura's Story
Welcome friends from the past! (Would "old friends" be offensive?) Thank you for fond memories from the
crazier days.
Life has been good. After high school did the college thing, started with a history degree but after working in Alaska for four years returned for a second geochemistry degree and masters work and a teaching cert. In Alaska married a good, interesting man who I've been happy with for 30 years. We have two offspring. Our daughter is 23 and is in grad school as an engineer and is very busy because she is also a pro mountain biker. Our son just graduated from high school, downhill mountain bikes, plays...Expand for more
on soccer teams, competes with an accapella music group, and had the lead in his high school musical. He is heading to college this fall as a premed student. Both kids have been relatively easy (better than us, my husband and I agree), and are good people. We've traveled a bit, before kids and as a family. We've been able to raft the Grand Canyon, camp through Europe, sea kayak in many places, and ski a lot.
We live in the mountains where I'm a science teacher.
There of course have been challanges, but I have had a lot of wonderful memories to appreciate. Thanks again for your part in them.
