Laura's Story
Life
My husband and I are truely Montanans at heart and that will never change  even after 2 years in California.
John Connors (yes, the one from Dillon, MT) and I exchanged marriage vows in November of 2003. We relocated to California right after the wedding. After 2 years we had enough and moved to Missoula, MT. John is a geological engineer for Tetra Tech  he works with dirt and rocks. I, on the other hand, sit at my mac all day long. I do marketing analysis and graphic design for Vann's  Montana's largest independent retailer. I also do freelance work on the side.
We have purchased a house and have a black lab name Onyx.
College

ut the University of Montana Journalism school, I don't remember the lectures or classes. My foundest memories are of the Montana Kaimin.
In fact, I truely believe that The Montana Kaimin ruined any other work experience I will ever have in my entire life. The Kaimin was more than a newspaper, it was work of devotion, teamwork and friendship. There was also a lot of fun that was had by all. Sure the hours were long, the pay sucked and the place was filthy. (Remember the old alums that would come through and remember sleeping on dirty old couches 20 years prior??) But it was the highlight of my college years and I wouldn't have traded the experience for the world!
