Laura's Story
Life
I am living happily in sin with my cardiologist-boyfriend of 15 years. We have two obnoxious dogs, no kids, a turtle, a pet snake, 8 bicycles between us, an ambitious vacation calendar and own and play several instruments, including 3 guitars, a banjo, a mandolin, a drum set, a dobro, and a ukelele. We live in Lawrence, KS, in a funky circa-1894 victorian house with a turret, affectionately known as the brokedown palace. I am a UW grad, a CHMM and have 10 + yrs professional experience in solid and hazardous waste management, landfill engineering and regulatory compliance.

tudent at the University of Kansas. I am active in local politics and a vocal critic of city government.
I still love the Ramones, The Violent Femmes, Devo, CSNY, John Prine, Emmy Lou Harris and the Grateful Dead. My new fav obsession is Wilco. I wear bib overalls on the weekends; have never shaved; eschew make-up and girly-girl clothes/heels, and mostly refuse to brush my hair. My friends would most likely describe me as fierce, goofy,
and incorrigible.
My hobbies include canoeing in the Ozarks, bicycle touring, beadwork, dancing, reading, bluegrass and jam bands, blogging and rabble rousing. I love a good road trip and i despise apathy in any form.
