Laura's Story
Life
After High School I moved up to Oscoda with my husband, where he was stationed at Wurtsmith Air Force Base. We had two children there, a son and a daughter. I started college on base through Alpena Community College. In 1993 the base was closing so we were sent to Montgomery, Alabama. We divorced after six years of marriage. Then living in Alabama. I started working in banking in Alabama and moved back to Michigan in 1998. I now live in Clinton Twp. with my son and my daughter and still work in banking. My daughter has a horse, takes riding lessons and has competed in a few...Expand for more
horse shows. My son is my computer genius. He can teach himself anything he puts his mind to. He knows the computer in and out. Now he's teaching himself how to play guitar. We have three cats. In the summer we take a two week road trip to South Carolina and Alabama to visit friends.
In April 2007 I became engaged to my boyfriend of seven years...no date set yet. Who has the time. I still work full time at a bank and on Saturdays I do light bookkeeping and paper for a small business. Most of my family is still in Port Huron, with a few exceptions. I visit as often as I can.
