Laura's Story
College
Went to three schools. First Santa Barbara Beauty College for a year but had to leave to get work. Then to Miss Marty's in San Francisco and graduated esthetics. I went to Joe Blasco Hollywood and completed the Beauty Makeup course for film and television makeup. Loved it all. Decided to complete my training and went back to school for hair and got my license for hairstyling in 2003 through Lu Ross Academy in Ventura.
Workplace
Started out in retail and office work. After I moved up to Berkeley when I was 18, worked...Expand for more
in a beauty supply for two years. Got married had kids, became stay at home mom. Left husband, moved back to Santa Barbara, got license to do hair. Moved to Apple Valley, bought a house and worked in JC Penney Salon for six months. Left when boyfriend, now husband, became a truck driver and no more weekend babysitter. Now he works with cranes. Have been at home for about four years and do occasional photography jobs. Have had two more kids for a total of four. Have business that I am in the process of getting off the ground.
