Laura's Story
Life
I have four great kids. So I can brag, read on.lol
My 17 year old daughter is 6', thin and a beauty. She and her friends crack me up. She's into Basketball(AAU league and high school) track and volleyball. In July we are going to Chicago where she will be interviewed for a modeling contract. If that doesn't work out she will be attending college in the Fall. My 15 year old son is quite the athlete in several sports - Soccer and baseball. His team won the state title two years in a row. He's a great hunter. He just purchased a car with his own money. My 12 year old daughter is very intelligent and is very bold. It gets her in trouble at times. But she isn't afraid to say what's on her mind. She's into softball, volleyball and basketball. My 8 year old son is quite the character so far, and loves to pick on the 12 year old. It looks like he will be a good baseball player too.
I am still good friends with the ex. and he is an excellent Father. Luckily, he works at Muskingum College, so my kids have a free college ride there or at another college. That is, if they choose to do that. As for me, I play summer Coed slow pitch, billiards, ebay, gamble, Play Tex'hold em', soak in my Hot Tub. OH, and I love my little dwarf hamsters. They're so cute! And my other pets, Maverick, Oscar, Jasper, Cinnamon & Whoopie.
I have a lot down on the river. Planning on Jet skiing, camping and fishing all summer. And when the kids are at their Dad's, partying on the sand bar! I know several people that own places along the river. Maybe I'll buy a Van and live down there.ha ha I also love my big 'ole 2001 Dodge Ram!
I was a surrogate for friends from the D.C. area.(Using all of their DNA) The very beautiful baby boy was born 10/03. Check out my Photo Album. Not only is he a cutie pie, but all my kids are gorgeous.lol Surrogacy is the most rewarding thing that I have done to change someone elses life. I can say that I am helping to make someone's dreams come true. They sent me and a friend to Vegas after the baby was born. My kids and I went to visit them on his third birthday. The party was held at a very exclusive Country Club. The party cost as much as my last car! They are so good to me in so many ways. It is a wonderful situation. I know their son will have everything they ever want and two loving parents. And the extended family, they are all so wonderful! They treat me like gold. I cannot express enough how happy I am that I did this for them. They say I am their Angel, and I feel like one when I am there. And cruizin' around D.C. in a Mercedes Convertable doesn't hurt either.lol It's a whole other life style. I could certainly get used to it. But I got lost the first time I stayed in their place!lol They have friends and relatives that worked at the Pentegon And White House during 911. They are doing OK. I have met and made so many friends with other surrogates all across the U.S. I have written a book and helped others become Surrogates. ebruary and it was wonderful. I see why people are snow birds! Florida is great in the winter! And I learned that when a gator is chasing you, you do not run in a straight line!!lol The parents have 3 houses, one in Florida, one on the Jersey Shore and the main house in Jersey. Just beautiful! I can't even describe. They should be on MTV Cribs.lol The Dad does business with Donald Trump, which may only impress me.lol But another possible avenue for my daughter to get into modeling. Their family is such the picture of an extended American Family. Get togethers at Christmas, Super bowls games, etc. Really special and will be complete when the twins come. They are so excited.
I graduated college with two degrees and work for the City Government - I am operating a Wastewater Treatment plant with a Class III Wastewater Operators license. I hold a Class II Wastewater Laboratory Analyst License. I also hold a class B CDL with tankers. I also served as the Chemist in New Concord after the death of their operator. I have a small package Plant that I take care of. I live in a subdivision in the John Glenn school district. The subdivision is being used as a prototype for Homeland security using a neighborhood watch situation. We are Partnered with the sheriffs office. It's cool. I also love 70's music and fixing up my houses and selling them at profit. My friends can contact me at my E-mail address.
School
Had a good time at all the schools that I attended throughout my life. Even when I was bad I was having fun.lol Sorry teachers and principals. I think in Conneaut, I should have played softball in 10th grade. I shouldn't have had any steady boyfriends,lol. That's about it.
By the way. Had a GREAT time last summer at both my reunions. But I'd have to say the Coyote Ugly dancing in Conneaut, up on the bar was pretty cool. Oh, That was after the reunion. Don't think that would have gone too good at the winery.lol Tammy, where's those pictures at??!!!! But seriously, it was soooo great seeing people that I hadn't seen in 15 years or longer. I can't believe how it didn't feel like there had been any time gone by. Especially the one's I was with since grade school. Of course some of you changed physically maybe, but still the same good people.
College
I have 2 Degrees of Applied Science. One in Environmental Resource Management the other in Parks, Recreation and Wildlife. Received scholorships for the three years that I attended Muskingum Area Technical College. Had around a 3.5 gpa. Would have been higher but DR. Marks would only give out higher then a B+ to one student per class which was usually my exhusband.lol
Workplace
I feel that my position goes along with all the other important personnel at my facility. I don't think any job is any more important than another. I should have been a lawyer though, I am very good when it comes to legal issues. Maybe someday yet, who knows. But for now, I have a pretty good time. The guys are pretty cool. And a lot of help for my home projects. Thanks guys! And the pay and benefit's aren't bad.lol The first two years I worked in the laboratory as an analyst. Then promoted to Operations. The best part of my position is that I am free to do my job without a supervisor looking over my shoulder. It's the only department in the City where you are pretty much in charge of yourself. So that is about it.
