In 1964, my family moved to Chicago, where I met and married Jim in 1966. We had three children and I lived in Chicago for 22 years, mostly being a wife and mom.
In 1986 I married Erich, a dairy farmer, We live in Wisconsin, and have one daughter who is in her first year of college.
For the past 22 years I have worked for attorneys of one stripe or the other. From 1995 through 2007, I worked for a certified elder law attorney, and learned something about elder law, probate, trust administration, real estate, Medicaid, estate planning, and nursing home planning. Along the way, I earned 155 credit hours of continuing legal education in the areas of taxation, probate, elder law, etc. When I turned 60, I went home and opened Paralegal Services, LLC. (So now I can take a nap during the day if I feel like it.)
That's all for now. Please post your pictures! I'd love...Expand for more
to hear from all of you.

September 1, 2014:
P.S. I'm 67 now and just posted a more recent picture (driver's license picture). Still working at my business and am involving my daughter in the business, as well. My mother retired at 65 and regretted it for many years and I feel that retiring would be the same for me. Order is very important in my life (and I live with a "hoarder").
My mom is 89 now and, after living with me and my family for three years, resides in a nursing home five minutes from my house. Mom has advanced dementia but is otherwise healthy. I love running over there to hug and kiss her and see her smile. I take pictures of her and post them to facebook so that my sisters and brother can see how she's doing.
My daughter, Kate, has changed her major several times now and, at 25, is still pursuing her degree. She's double majoring in English and Geology with a Chemistry minor for her teaching certificate. With luck, she'll graduate after her Fall semester in 2016. She's been in school so long that last semester her GPA was 4.0.
It's really wonderful hearing from all of the folks who have responded. Would love to hear (and see pictures) of the rest of you out there. If you are able, please post "then" pictures to jog our memory.
Best to you all, Laura Vyse

I'll be 72 next month and my old boss asked me to come back to work for him two years ago. I did. So, after 10 years, I dissolved my business and went back to work.
Mom died in my arms on April 22, 2018. In July, we drove my parents back to Canada (Beaverton, Ontario) for burial in the family plot. It was enlightening to see how Ontario had changed.
Our daughter, Katie, graduated with BS degrees in Science, Chemistry and English and is a high school science/English and chemistry teacher. Katie was very impressed with the rock around Sudbury, and we'll plan a geology trip back there.
