Lauren (Ray) Baum:  

I am what I am that's all I can be. I can't be for you, what I won't be for me. I won't try to con you, like I did in my youth, or tell you a lie cause you don't like the truth. I was born in Oklahoma in 1943 too soon to hbe a baby boomer and too late for the beat generation. I spent my whole life confused as to which group I fit into, finally gave up and decidsed that I was a late war issue with no serial number. Moved to California in 1944 and lived in L.A. then moved to Ojai in 1953. My Dad was the Pastor of the Church of the Nazarene (now the community church) on the corner of Aliso and Montgomery street right next to Clausens funeral home. Marie Clausen was one of my class mates. Mike Alcorn became my best friend, his Dad was the Chief of Police. The two of us made a volatile combination at times.
