Laurence's Story
Life
I was born at the home of my grandparents in Monroe County, MO, just north of Paris. About age 3 we moved into a new home on our new farm not far away. In 1945 we moved to Paris, MO and dad went to work for the Santa Fe RR. where he worked for the duration of the WWII. In 1947 we moved to Marceline, MO where dad was working.
Beside Missouri, I have lived in Iowa, Maryland, New Jersey, Washington and California since leaving College. I married in 1976 to Katy Paida Derby, a widow and we have two children. Now we have four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and a step great-grandchild. We are retired and reside in "The Spanis Village by the Sea," San Clemente, CA. Email us if your are going to be in the area and I will send you directions to our home.
