Lauri's Story
Life
After high school I attended the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). I graduated in 1992 and returned to GR briefly, then moved to the other side of the state for about three years. I worked in professional athletics (NBA and CBA basketball) as a public relations director and community relations supervisor.

l and got my Masters Degree in Public and Non-profit Administration from GVSU.
I worked for 3-years at the Grand Rapids Bar Association as Project Director and Development Director. I was responsible for building the Legal Assistance Center located in the Kent County Courthouse.
Currently I work for the City of Grand Rapids in the Equal Opportunity Department.
