Laurie's Story

Life I live in a rural town, Henniker. It was wonderful to raise our 2-sons, Greg and Jeff, in a country setting. The school system served us well and both boys went to college. I work at the local elementary school; Henniker Community School. It is close to home. My husband, Joel, who is from NY prompted us to relocate. He opened a furniture store in Bradford. It is called, The Barns of Bradford. They sell beautiful furniture, comparable to Ethan Allen. Our oldest son, Greg, is employed at the Barns of Bradford, helping his Dad immensely! In May of 2005, our youngest son, Jeff, graduated with honors, from the U of Miami in FLA with a degree in Communications...Expand for more
! He met Vanessa while attending school. She is a Psychology Major. In fact in just 3-weeks upon graduating from the U of Miami, they had each secured a job and an apartment! In April of 2006, Jeff and Vanessa got married in Mexico. It was a destination wedding with 28 people in attendance. He and his beloved are living in Los Angeles and Jeff is in the film industry! Greg was his brother's best man. Sadly, in 9/07 my beloved Mom passed away from colon cancer. It was the same cancer that took my Dad in 1973. My Mom married 2 times before she passed away. My Mom "knew" her husband at the time, Alan, would not live long after she died. He lived only 5 more months!
