Lawrence's Story

Well i have been in the Navy for 21 years and retired in October 2006, I have been on a total of eleven deployments five mediterranean cruises and six west pacs six different ships, 80 countries and i learned Swahilli, Japanese, Arabic. And i also served overseas in the country of Bahrain as a Watch Commander for Security and i was there for September 11th.Funny my history teacher Mr. Rogers didn't think i would amount to much.... travel but i do not miss the Navy i had fun but they got a honest day of work out of me and i got to go to school, travel, so we are even.Even althought it was and will be the greatest thing i have ever done wouldn't trade it in for the world. Especailly when you do things that is a part of history Panama, Desert Storm, Desert Watch, that some people could not fathom. They read about it in the newspaper. I love the job i have now, i work for Union Pacific Railroad as a Machinist, pretty cool job.
