Larry's Story
Larry has moved to North Beach MD. Larry lived in Upper Marlboro, MD.
Larry's schools include Coronado High School, Coronado Elementary School, Esterbrook Elementary School, Dewhit Clinton Elementary School, Pacific Beach Elementary School, Howe Elementary School, Coronado Junior High School. Larry later attended University of Wisconsin-Madison and did graduate work at the University of Hawaii - Manoa campus. Larry was a Naval Officer in the US Navy for 9 years and a weather forecaster and research meteorologist for the National Weather Service for 31 years. He joined Primerica Financial services in 2005 and retired from there in 2014.

Got a BS degree with a major in Meteorology from University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1963, and was Commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy. From 1964 - 1966 he was qualified to operate Nuclear Reactors and served on the USS Long Beach (CGN9). re for 2 and a half years before being transferred to RVN in '69 - 70 as Staff Meteorologist to a command in Danang and one in Saigon. From there he was posted to a Weather Detachment in Monterey, CA. He stayed there until honorably discharged in 1972.
From there I went to the University of Hawaii - Manoa Campus to work on and earn a MS in Meteorology in 1974. That same year I met Judy Eimer, who became my wife March 30, 1975. In July 1975 I joined the National Weather service and worked as an intern and Marine Forecaster until we left in early 1977 to take a position as a development Meteorolgist first at the Techlniques Development Laboratory in Silver Spring, MD and then at the National Centers for Environmental Prediction in 1984. I continued in that capacity until my retirement in 2006 after 40 years of Government Service.
Our first child, Ruth, was born in Hawaii in 1976; our boys, Josh and Jon, were born the Washington, DC metro area in 1979 and 1983, respectively. Ruth is married to Brett Pierce and has one child - Alexander; Josh is married to Shelly Cox and has one child, Josh, Jr (JJ), and Jon isn't married. Judy passed on in 2003 after a short bout with walking pneumonia in 2003.
In 2005 I joined Primerica as an independent agent. I retired as an agent in 2014.
