Entered the US Navy as a reservist Airman Apprentice located at Lambert Air Field-St. Louis. The entire Lambert Division was activated due to the Lebanon crisis of 1957. Became a "90-day wonder". Retired from active duty as a Lieutenant 1st Class in 1963 bilited aboard the aircraft carrier USS Valley Forge (now decommissioned). Life at sea was not for me.
