y. My first job was in Rome, Italy where I taught at an international school. I also was a translator at the Vatican Council (Latin to English) and a radio announcer on Vatican radio. In Rome I married Madelaine Ice and we had one child while we lived in Rome. We moved to Albany, NY in 1970 where I taught at the State University for nine years. Then I moved to Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY where I worked for twenty-four years. I retired in 2003. For the last four years I have spent several months in Italy each year. I am seeking a place that is calm and tranquil, a place that brings peace and solace to one's inner life.
