Lawrence's Story
Life
I love life and strive to fulfill God's Will on a daily basis. As a Christian I plan as though I have a thousand years and live each moment as though it is my last.
Life is a precious gift and should be lived to its fullest at all times.
As one elderly lady once said, "I'm going to enjoy this life if it kills me!"
School
During my elementary school days I attended Bedford Park, Blythwood, and Bessborough Drive Public Schools in Toronto/Leaside.
It was my sixth grade teacher at the latter, Everrett (Lefty) Bagg who really made a difference in my life. He was a baseball coach, football coach, hockey coach, gymnastics instructor, and school teacher. He taught me how to be both an academic and an athlete as well as built me from a scrawny kid (due to polio and a serious school yard accident) to a strong athletic young fellow.

o Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord that was finally effected through Mr. Alan Cameron (later Father Cameron) of St. Paul's, Lachine, Quebec. Fathers Marshall and Midlege also held a grerat influence over me.
High School was an exciting time for me. I played for the High School Hockey teams along with several other teams in Lachine and on the West Island of Montreal. During this period (1953 thru 1957) I also raced canoes at the Lachine Racing Canoe Club, played tennis at the Western Lachine Recreation Club and at The Canadian National Recreation Association. Further, I attended St. Paul's Anglican Church in Lachine and acted in varous roles in the Sunday School and Worship Service along with being active in the youth group.
