PCHS 1975, BA Miami University 1979 (Russian), MA George Washington University 1981 (Soviet Affairs); 15 years in the foreign affairs community, 8 as a Foreign Service Officer; served in Pakistan with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Jamaica with the U.S. Information Agency. ement issues. October 2000 became Chief of Media Affairs at OSHA (the Occupational Safety & Health Administration) in Washington. June 2004 left OSHA to become Director of Communications at the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). Retired in 2013 after 35 years of Federal service. I'm married (second time, to a fellow Midwesterner), no kids, two fat cats, live in Arlington, Virginia.
