Leah's Story
Life
I received my BA from WVU and shortly thereafter married Doug Lowe of Lewisburg. We lived in Shreveport, Loiusiana for a year and Doug was transferred to Guthrie Kentucky with his company. Lived there for a little over a year. He was promoted and transferred to Green Spring, WV. It feels good to be back home! We bought a house in Fort Ashby, WV.
College
Ahhh...college. It took six years to finish one degree because I went to Glenville State for two years majoring in music. Then I went to Cleveland State for a year. I then transferred to WVU and ended up majoring in Political Science with a concentration on international studies. I suppose I went through all that crap for ...Expand for more
a reason. I ended up meeting my husband at WVU. It was apparently meant to be. Except for meeting my husband, I would NOT do it all over again, although there are plans to get my Masters Degree soon. Quite possibly the Kentucky State Police Academy.
Workplace
In Shreveport, I was the office manager for a pediatric dentist. It was neat work, but I enjoyed my job in Guthrie much more. I was the Clerk for the Guthrie Police Department, and there was talk of sending me to the Police Academy but Doug was offered a promotion with his company and we moved to Fort Ashby, WV. He works in Green Spring, WV. I am the Grants Writer for a nonprofit regional development agency in Cumberland, MD.
