Leanne's Story
Simply, life is good.
I married when I was 20 ('84), but I left the marriage in late '92, and I kept my step-daughter and son with me. After a long stint as a single lady, I married Chris in July 2001. We live in Santa Barbara, CA and enjoy your your average work and play life. Chris is from Philadelphia, so we travel back east a couple of times a year. We try to take advantage of this wonderful place we live in, aside from work and school... try all of the different restaurants in town (there are so many) and just getting out and about. Chris is the president of the Santa Barbara Pool League and I'm the 'secretary', so that keeps us busy. Otherwise, I can say that life has turned out better than, at times, I thought it would.
At the ripe old age of 30, or so it felt old, I decided it was about time for me to go back to school, which resulted in a Bachelor's Degree in from UCSB. I'm now working at a graduate college here in Santa Barbara in student accounts/relations, enjoying the challenge of working with adult students as they balance the financial side of "real" life while completing their Master's or Doctorate's degree.
I'm enrolled in online courses for my Masters Degree. I'm still working full-time, so I've only taken one course each of the past couple of quarters. I'm going for my MS in Organizational Management w/a specialization in HR.

at kids. I have a beautiful daughter, Amy, now 29 yr old (step-daughter from my first marriage-she's been with me ever since), who completed her Masters in June '05 and was married a month later. She recently took and passed the first part of the MFT licensure test. I love my son-in-law, Billy, and they've given me my first grandchild! Jack was born on Nov. 30, 2006. I absolutely love my new role as Grandma, as you might be able to tell by the photos!! I also have a rather handsome son, Zach, who just turned 21. He graduated from high school June '05 and attended SBCC for a bit, but decided to work full-time instead. Not what I had in mind for him, but I did the same thing at his age, so I have to respect him for standing up and making his own decision. Zach is doing very well in the carpentry business.
From High School and before:
My last name from my first marriage was Harrison and most people from my 20's and 30's know me by that name.
Riverside Poly was my first high school, then I transferred to Arlington not long into my Junior year. I feel like I belong to both schools since I went to Castle View Elementary with those folks that graduated from Poly. I've thought about attending reunions and think I'd know more people at the Poly ones!
