Ledora's Story
Life
Currently I am a 911 Police & Fire dispatcher for Akron. I have been doing this for 12.5 yrs. I go to the schools and other establishments along with several others and do 911 training thru our public awareness program. Before this I was a firefighter/medic for 5 yrs. Prior to that I worked in an office supply warehouse in twinsburg loading trucks and other misc. duties. I have also worked in administration and finance at the church I attend for the last 16 yrs. So for 17.5 yrs I have been involved in public safety. On a more personal note, by the grace of God Billy and I just celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary August 13, 08! ous granchildren! Our oldest daughter Anisha is married to Derrick Rogers, they have 2 boys: Derrick Jr. and Devon. They currently reside in Margarita Calif. due to recent job relocation from Memphis Tenn. Our 2nd daughter Shandra is still in Akron with one son Thomas. She is manager of a clothing store. Our 3rd daughter Qiana recently married Michael Hayden and they have 4 children; DaJuan, Alexandria, Micheal, and Naomi. Mike's in construction and Qia works for AGMC and is currently completing nursing school. Prince William IV is married to Velinzala, recently had their 5th wedding anniversary and are proud parents of our 7th granchild, 7 mo. old Wm V. Both of them are currently in the USAF on their 3rd tour and stationed in Phonenix Arizona.
