Lee Ann's Story
I moved to Cambridge Springs in northwest PA in 1974 and worked at Edinboro Public Library and then Edinboro University until my retirement in 2003, got married on 12/24/2005. Charlie and I live in Tidioute, PA, on the Allegheny River and near the Allegheny National Forest. I can now pursue my interests: canoeing (I have 4 canoes at the moment), hiking & botanizing, bicycling (I use a recumbent trike), gardening (in 1999 I completed the Penn State Master Gardener training), traveling (I've been to many parts of the US, from the Florida Keys to the Boundary Waters in Minnesota to Hawaii and Arizona, as well as birding trips to Trinidad and Tobago, Costa Rica, Ecuador and the Galapagos),...Expand for more
birding (I was president of the Presque Isle Audubon Society in Erie and am currently Field Trip Director), and photography. I was treasurer of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 381 in Cambridge Springs and also served as historian. Other organizations I belong(ed) to include Mensa, Western Pennsylvania Paddlesport Assn. (founding member), Allegheny Canoe Club, Botanical Society of Western PA, Western PA Conservancy, Florida Sport Paddling Club and various humane organizations. I enjoy leading field trips for wildflowers and canoeing and manage a small paddling Yahoogroup called Waterfolk. We bought a home in Leesburg, Florida, in May of 2012 and currently live there and in Tidioute.
