Lee's Story

Life Hi Everyone, thanks for dropping by my Bio.page. After GGA, I atended S.F.State College and P.U.C. Taught P.E.for a short period of time and was drafted into the U.S.Army. Worked as an Insurance Investigator for some 12-13yrs and when I got tired of snopping into other peoples business, went into the Computer field where I am presently employed. Been married twice and divorced the same number of times...marriage isn't for me I guess. I love my life presently and really have no regrets. I've had a good life and presently enjoy good health. Biggest regret is not keeping up with my music which I loved. Have started to get back into it now. Will be retiring in another year and hope to enjoy some travelling, reconnecting with some high school friends, and continue working on my music. My goal when I retire is to be a "street muscian".Soooo, if you happen to be in the Pasadena Old Town area and see an old man playing the Banjo...stop and say hello...it may be me. Don't forget to leave a buck in the bucket too!!! 6-17-03: It has now been a year or so since I filled this out. I now have my own banjo band. 15 of the top banjoest in So.California are with me and we are having fun, fun, fun. The name of the band is "The San Gabriel Valley Ole Tyme Banjo Band and are home base is Covina,Ca. If your in the So.Calif area, drop by Danny's Kosher Pickle Restaurant in Covina,Ca. and take a look at our photos. We play there the first Saturday of the month from 5:30-7:30pm. 4/8/04 - I'm now retired and enjoying every minute of it. Still have the Banjo Band. Thanks to Lowell Ellis,Nancy Bowers, John Schneider & Sally for dropping by and hearing us. The Banjop Band will also be playing at the San...Expand for more
ta Barbara County Fair and Orange County Fair this year. If your in the area, drop by and say hello. July 15,04 for Santa Barbara and July 22 for Orange County. Both dates are a Thursday. Still looking for Bob Humphery('56). if you hear of him or run into him, please give me a holler. 1/5/05 - I have located Bob Humphery, but as of today, he has not responded to my letter. Still have the Banjo Band and we are getting more popular. Now have 19 band members!. I really need to find a part time job so I can start getting some rest! Happy New Year to all and God Bless 10/11/06 - been retired since 12-03. Having a great time and the banjo band is growing. The photo of the band was taken a year ago. We've added more players since the photo was taken.I'm the one sitting on the floor in the middle. Hope you enjoy the photo as it took three minutes to get back up with the help of two people! Getting old is not for Sissies!!!! Hey, If you want to correspond, drop me a line. Lee '56 2/07 - Here's my annual update for those who care. For those who are not interested....I love ya anyway!!! Band continues to grow. Now have 25 band members if all show up. This will also be a busy year. Hope to see a lot of people at this years "GGA Reunion" or as Lowell Ellis prefers to say "Celebraton". Am adding a photo of myself and my "lady love" Mona Lisa...that's right, that's her real name. We've been together for about 18 yrs or so. I've proposed so many times I've lost count. She doesn't want anything to do with Marriage!!! She's glad I've finally reached the age when I can't get up from kneeling and proposing. I find that growing old is easy...finding a parking space is the hard part!!!! Lee '56
