Lee's Story
Life
When I graduated from High School, I went to Texas A&M to become a veterinarian. No one told me I didn't have to carry 19 1/2 hours and 3 labs, needless to say I burned out. I was married at that time and had two daughters which ended in 1969. Her father and my inheritance had started a steel supply warehouse which was grossly under capitalized. I lost the business and my inheritance! Then I went to work for a competitor and finally ended up at an KAUM the ABC FM Radio station in 1970. I became the General Sales Manager until 1973. We were sold out 24/7 as the number 1 FM Rock station in Houston. I met back up with my girl friend from the time at A&M before getting married and we married in 1972. I went to work in 1973 for the Classical FM Radio Station until 1976 when I decided to go in business for myself as a Business Life Insurance Agent specializing in Estate Planning. I became a CLU in the 1981 and am still selling Life Insurance, currently for AAA Life Insurance in San Antonio. My wife from back in the 1972 became an alcoholic, we divorced in 1993 and she died in 1997. My oldest son died in September 2000 in a 1 car accident in N. Houston. I married agin in 1996 to my childhood sweetheart from my days at St Johns School in Houston who I had known since the 3rd grade. We are still married and live in New Braunfels, Tx.
