Lee's Story
Life
In 2020 I retired from American Airlines after a 36-year career as an airline pilot. I spent the last 15-years flying as a Boeing 767/777 Captain to Europe, Asia and South America.
In 2010 I also retired from the military as a Colonel. I served in the Air Force on either active duty, in the Air National Guard or the Air Force Reserves. During that time I frequently deployed globally in fighters; flying combat missions over Iraq, contingency operations in the South China Sea, and NATO support in Southern Europe. nit’s first combat deployment since WWII. During my overseas assignment to the US European Command in Stuttgart, Germany - I was mobilized on 9/11 to coordinate and execute a counterterrorism program in Europe and Africa. Near the end of my military career I worked with FEMA in support of disaster response operations, especially Hurricane Katrina.
While retired I volunteer as a Search and Rescue pilot, teach glider soaring, and sail as frequently as possible.
I reside primarily in SW Florida during the winter months and in SE Michigan during the summer.
Hope to hear from you...
