Leilani (Lonnie)'s Story
Hi, After graduating from Custer, I went to UW-M for a year and then transferred to WI State College at LaCrosse. I graduated in 1962. I taught in Wauwatosa for two years, Waukesha for one year, and subbed for fourteen years while I had small children.
We moved to Westby Wi in l966 where we still live. I eventually got my masters in special ed.
I returned to full time teaching in the late 70's in the Norwalk Ontario district. I taught learning disabled children for many years and then I returned to the regular classroom. I ended up in secon...Expand for more
d grade. I retired in l998. I loved teaching.
My husband is also a retired teacher. We have four children and eleven grandchildren. One family lives near us in LaCrosse and the other three in the Twin Cities area. All the kids graduated from college and of course are the best. Don't even get me started on the grandkids!
We enjoy spending time with our family. We also travel and golf. I also enjoy reading and painting with watercolor. In the winter we go to Panama City Beach where we enjoy our "winter friends" golf and walks on the beach.
