Lemoine's Story
Life
Born in Teague, Tx. . Went to school there in the 1st, 6th., & 7th. grade. Moved to Alice, Tx. in the 2nd. grade till the 5th.. After six mos. at Burbank Jr. high(Houston) in the 8th. we moved to Wharton where we stayed till I graduated in 57'. Two days after graduating from WHS we moved again to Alice. Dropped out of A&I to work at Sheet Metal. Got married to Betty June/60' . Moved to Victoria for a better job in July. Drafted in Sept. 62. Military Policeman. Got out on a hardship discharge when my dad lost both legs IN A RAIL ACCIDENT.Went back to the S.M. trade at DuPont, bought a dairy and milked 65 cows, and raised 85 hogs at the same time. Herd average was 100 lbs.of milk a day per cow. That's over seven gal. per cow. I mixed my own feed.
Moved to Austin in 72, Became Business Rep for Sheet Metal Wkrs.# 67, Served as Sec./Tres. for Austin Building Trades, Was appointed to Travis Co. Human Services Board by Ann Richards.
After leaving that office I have worked at the trade as a Estimator, Supt, Project Manager,or General Foreman for several different Co.
We have two children. They won numerious awards at Lake Travis High School, Most Courtious, Most Beautiful/Handsome, Class Favorite Three out of four ye...Expand for more
ars[daughter],Most Outstanding Athelete, 7th & 8th, Jr. & Sr. Years[daughter],State Track Meet in Hurdles[daughter], Capt. soccer & Baseball teams[son],Was All Centex Honorable Mention in Baseball[son],Class Marshall[son],and won the Pride and Spirit Award, Voted on by the Teachers for what each student should try to be like. Lemoine,Jr. won the over all, & Reynetta Gaye the Sr. Class Reynetta was co captain of the drill team and a cheer leader her jr. year.
Lemoine Works in Abilene, Tx. at Dyess AFB training troops. Reynetta was a Para-Legal Sec. in Austin.before moving to Chewelah, Wa.where she now is working for herself at home.
Lmoine has married his old girl friend from high school BARBIE and Reynetta's husband is David De Veau a retired fire fighter from Austin.He is now the Fire Chief of the Chewelah, Wa. fire Department.
Ater retiring Betty and I moved to Fulton, Tx. where I became active again in masonery, went thru the chairs and became Worshipful Master of Rockport masonic Lodge 323 for the 2010/2011 year.,
I lost Betty Jan. 3rd of 2013 to lung cancer after 52 1/2 years of marriage. Then on July 6th married my second wife Linda Geffert..
