Lena's Story
Life
Well lets see-I have been married to my husband Jerry it will be 47 yrs on July
1,2008. We have two sons Tony 45yrs,
and Mark 43 yrs. old. No grandchildren We live in West Covina since 1961, I guess we will stay. I am a retired
bookkeeper since 1992, worked for
construction companies mostly. After
working for 30 yrs. I decided that was
enough. My husband retired July 1,l999
so far we are enjoying retirement.
Our sons bought a house just down the
street from us, and we have been help-
ing them fix it up. So...Expand for more
now that that is
all finished we are planning on doing
some traveling and a lot of fishing.
On December 31, 2001 I had open heart surgery, to
repair the mitral valve in my heart. I am doing
fine so far. Getting back to my old self.
On July 27,,2009 I had my second open heart surgery
to replace my aorta and a triple by-pass (12 hr surgery)
On November 11,2013 (Veterans Day) my husband died from
cancer. We were married for 52yrs. Miss him every day.
