Lennard's Story
Life
I liked college so much I took 7 years to get my degree. (In the middle I also took time out to see S.E. Asia courtesy of Uncle Sam.)
A fraternity brother fixed me up on a blind date when I returned from the Air Force and Jan and I are still married (39 years this summer).(UPDATE: Divorced after 41 years. A long and testing "starter marriage."
I worked in medical admin for a time (consulted to Planned Prenthood), ran my Dad's business and eventually settled on a career in Insurance and Financial Services. I took an early retirement from New York Life after 17 years in 2001. My work life took us from Needham, MA to Fairfield, CT to Dallas, TX and most recently to Richmond, VA. 2001 I recently became one of the statistics cited about the economy. With time on my hands I've took the exams and became a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Moved to Las Vegas in 2011 and took a job as an Investigator for the Sec'y of State of NV working on Investment Scams and monitoring Financial Advisors.
We have two children. Elliot, who is 38, moved to Las Vegas and is a Web developer with a major multi-media outlet. Allison who is now 32 was adopted from Korea when she was 7 months old. She is working at a large bank, takes courses now and again and lives outside Dallas.
I took up building HO scale structures for model railroads and enjoy it a lot. Recently started learning leather tooling.
I keep in touch with a few people from Hillhouse, B.U. and many more from my New York Life and other work families.
