More about Lennie:"If I was to sum up things about me I would say that I have been lucky. I have a wonderful family. My life has been full of excitement, I enlisted into the the military as soon as I turn 18 years old. I spent 4 years in the Air Force, missed Vietnam by a couple of years. I was station in Germany for two years and met some of the greatest people. The Ikes, Dougs, Pete's , Sandy, Ryan, Bob and the rest of B Flight. ate, After graduation from college I met my wife Carolyn, I reenlisted into the Oregon Army National Guard in 1986. It was in the spring of 1988 I lost a bet with my brother Boyd who was the commander of Headquarters Troop and I applied to Officer Candidate School and graduated in 1989. In my time in the NG I spent 18 months in Korea as an Operation Officer in the Anti Terrorism Force Protection Division starting August 23 2001, that job was a cushion for about 3 weeks. My career ended after a 12 tour in Iraq and the fun was gone. I enjoyed all 25 years, I miss working and training with the guys but I don't miss the BS..... I'm semi retired and enjoy our new Coffee Shop "Flyboy's Coffee", an working on our airplane that will go on top of the building. 3/4 scale P51. My plans this year is to play more golf, go fishing and fly as much as I can. GOD BLESS every day.".
