Lenora (Lynn)'s Story

Looking at my communities one can quickly see that my family moved quite often when I was growing up. I never liked having to leave a school and my friends. Leonard and I married in 1982 in Richland, WA. We moved to Ephrata, WA shortly after the birth of our daughter, Melissa who was born in 1984. Our son, Brent completed our family arriving in 1986. I am proud to say that my children were able to have friends from pre-school all the way through high school here in Ephrata! I was able to stay home for a few years when the kids were little, and then returned to the workforce as a secretary at the Catholic church where I am the parish administrator. Leonard works for the local PUD as an engineering tech and we have had a very good life here. orts writer and Melissa in in grad school at WWU studying psychology. We have been able to do a bit of traveling including a recent trip to Ecuador to visit our "other children", a brother and sister that we hosted as foreign exchange students a few years ago! I spend many hours on the computer with family history which has connected me with family in the USA, Canada and Germany. It has become a big passion of mine along with my work with the Relay for Life. I helped to start a relay in Ephrata in memory of a little friend of mine who died from a childhood cancer. We lost our mom to leukemia, and so we have many reasons to continue to raise $$ for cancer research. I would love to hear from classmates from all the way in Abbotsford, B.C. to Seattle & Richland, WA or Rainier, OR. It is hard to believe that next summer it will be 30 years since high school graduation.... I haven't changed a bit!!!
