Leo Goodman:  

Dear Classmates. I met my soulmate, Connie, in college. I was a Jr. she a Freshman. Although we were committed to one another, by the time she graduated, and I was discharged from the Army, six years had passed before we finally located ourselves within dating distance. We both began teaching in the Carlisle, PA area. She taught elementary ed., I taught Industrial Arts. We were married the next 4th of July. I taught IA for about 16 years then spent the balance of my career as a counselor at Carlisle HS. We have 5 children. Three boys, two girls. All married with families except our son, Fr. Leo, who for the past 10 years has been pastor of St. Mary's in Lancaster. He attended seminary at our alma mater - St.Vincent in Latrobe. Our oldest son, Joseph is the full-time youth minister at our church, St Patricks- Carlisle, and lives across the street from us. We had our retirement homes built four years ago. We can see our youngest daughters home from our living room window, (about 1/4th mile away, in the next development.) Peggy and Ken have 2 children, Peggy and I sing in the LifeTeen vocal group. She is our cantor. We are richly blessed in many ways. Especially in that all our children married persons who share their faith and are active ministers in their churches in various ways. After teaching all our kids and grand-kids to ski, I still love it, and Connie and I have been hosting a family ski week in the Poconos for the past 25 years. Fr. Lee and I enjoy oth...Expand for more
