Life
Leo Michael Klier, 88, Roseau, MN, formerly of Perth, N.D. died Monday, August 20.2001 at the Sheltering Oaks Nursing Home of Roseau. Leo Michael Klier, son of Mike and Sybilla LaVona (Stoeser) Klier, was born on February 16, 1913 at rural Perth, ND. He was raised and attended school at Perth, graduating form Perth High School. He worked on the family farm. Leo lived for a brief time in California in 1932, before returning to Perth. In 1936, he moved to Valley, Washington with; his family. Leo returned to Perth in 1939, purchased land and began his farming career. n March 21, 1951 at Rolla, ND. Following their marriage, the couple farmed near Perth until retiring in 1997. The couple moved to Roseau in November of 1998. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Bisbee. Leo is survived by his wife, Agnes, of Roseau; one daughter: Debra (Brad) Teubner of Roseau; one granddaughter, Katherine Klier Teubner, and one grandson, Michael Klier Teubner, both of Roseau; three brothers: Alvin (Pearl) Klier of Ravensdale, Washington; Donald Klier of Seattle, Washington and LaVern (Melvina) Klier of Portland, Oregon and two sisters: Yvonne (Kermit) Edwards of Bisbee, N.D. and Marilyn Samsel of Alexandria, M.N. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Vincent and Vernon.
