I attended Kingman Primary School and Douglas Primary Schools in Peoria ,Illinois and Raymond Grade School,Irving Junior High and Bloomington High School in Bloomington for 2 1/2 years,finishing at Morton High School,graduating in 1952.I lost track of most of my friends after I moved to Morton.I enjoyed being on the track team in Bloomington and on the football team in Morton...Expand for more

Military
I had basic training at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri.I then attended Engineer Foreman's Course at Fort Belvoir,Virginia. I then went to Korea assigned to Co. C,11th.Engineer Batalion as a dispatcher in the Motor Pool. We were located 7 miles north of Seoul.Our batalion was in charge of road maintenance over a wide area.I served from January 1954 until January 1956.
