Leonard's Story

Graduated from Rabun Gap Nacoochee School in Rabun Gap, GA.. Attended Berea College. Graduated, married, and drafted within 3 months. Did a hitch in Germany as a tanker. Attended University of Louisville, received a MAT, Worked for the Veterans Outreach Program helping Viet Nam Veterans adjust to life. Worked for the CDC in Chicago in the Sexually Transmitted Disease division, got tired of the cold Chicago winters, took a position as a teacher...Expand for more
with the Federal Prison System in Petersburg, VA. Worked at USP Atlanta, Oakdale, LA and retired from FCI Ashland. Retired from the U.S. Army Reserve. Attended Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary received an MDiv, ordained as an Elder in the United Methodist Church. Received doctorate from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH. One son, Lee Jackson Marr, is a freshman at the University of Kentucky, studying chemical engineering.
