LEONARD's Story
Most people know me as Art Smith.
I attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio from 1964 through 1969. I majored in Civil Engineering and received my BS Degree in 1969. I was in Air Force Reserve Officers Corps (ROTC), joined the U.S. Air Force Reserves in 1966, and received my commission into the U.S. Air Force Reserves as a 2nd Lieutenant in 1969. I was a member of the Arnold Air Society. I got my Private Pilot license (SEL - single engine land) while at Ohio University.
I entered Air Force extended active duty in January 1970 at Duluth IAP, Minnesota as a Civil Engineering Officer, I spent 2-1/2 winters in Duluth before I was transferred to Othello Air Force Station (ADC) in Othello, Washington in 1972. I was release from extended active duty in 1973. I remained in the inactive USAF Reserves as a permanent Captain and received my Honorable Discharge in 1987. I attend several schools at the Air Force Institute of Technology located on Wright- Patterson AFB while I was on active duty. I was promised - and fell for it - that my color vision deficiency would be waivered so I could be on flight duty if I obtained my Private Pilot License by the commander of the AFROTC unit if I would accept the USAF Reserve commission. The Air Force did not honor that commitment; therefore, I did not stay on active duty for the 30+ years that I had planned. In 1972, the color vision requirements for flying the "Jolly Green Giants" rescue helicopters was lowered; however, I lacked 3 points on the color threshold test of qualifying for helicopter pilot training. ...Expand for more
After that, I gave up flying completely.
I began working for the Ohio Department of Transportation District 10 in the summer of 1969 as a Project Engineer. I took a leave of absence while on active duty and returned in the summer of 1973. I worked my way up to the position of Assistant District 10 Construction Engineer. and covered the new construction project administration in 9 southeastern Ohio counties I had to medically retire in 1995.
I have Professional Engineer licenses in Ohio and West Virginia.
I am a Life Member of the National Rifle Association and the Vietnam Veterans of America. I have been an American Legion member for over 48 years.
I married Barbara Miley Davis of Mt. Ephraim, Ohio in 1983 and have been happily married to her ever since then. We built a log home just outside of Caldwell, Ohio in 1984. God has highly blessed Barbara and I over the years although both of us have had a lot of medical problems.
We are both members of the Mt. Ephraim United Methodist Church. I was a Certified Lay Speaker in the United Methodist Church from 1999 through 2013. I was highly blessed in 2010 when I was anointed as a prophet by the minister that was teaching the re-certification lay speaker course.
We live in a very scary world now; however, it is a very exciting time as we see biblical prophecy coming true at an increasing rate.
If you do not believe in Lord Jesus Christ, I am here to testify that God truly exists. I would be glad to tell you about the experiences that I have had with Him - especially in May and June of 1994.
