Leroy's Story
Life
Right now, my goal is to figure out how to write a bio that isn't so long that it will bore my former classmates. Jan (from Geneva) has been my bride for almost 33 years. We have four children, Katie (in California who has 3 children), Sarah (in Illinois with one child), Mark (23), and Tom (21). We share our home with many wild birds (especially finches) that find the Franklin home is the best place for birds to eat in Big Rock. There's also a couple of squirrels that love our bird seeed also.
I am the Engineering Process Manager at Aurora Pump in North Aurora. My specialty is fire protection equipment (fire pumps for sprinkler systems) and have traveled to teach seminars around the country. I have worked there for a total of 23 years with a 9 year absence while I pursued a different career path only to return in 1999.

re I am also involved in drama (I found my acting bug 7 years ago and wish I had found it many years back!) and small groups.
In my spare time (yeah, right) I read, take care of my yard; read; love dining out and seeing either a movie or play; read; travel around to see and photograph lighthouses and covered bridges. I am starting to dabble in scriptwriting for shorter drama pieces and have begun a comedic play. I have ercently discovered the Kindle and am hooked.
Last year I volunteered to teach English as a Foreign Language at a university in Donetsk, Ukraine. I am returning this summer and plan on returning to Ukraine to teach every year for the long haul. I am beginning to learn a bit of Russian.
Unlike my high school days, I am taller and heavier (twice the boy I was) and am much, much more outgoing. So, if you want to catch up, my number is in the book. You can find me on FaceBook also.
